Today I mourn the loss of my Wisdom Teeth. I feel as though this sculpture by Scottish artist David Shrigley is a fitting tribute to this fact.

"David Shrigley is well known for his witty sculpture's, drawings and hand-written texts. His art frequently asks questions about the nature of contemporary art and its audience. In his sculptural works, he makes physical some of his more curious and eccentric propositions by transforming found objects or by playing with their scale. Shrigley enlarges objects and imbues them with funny eccentric proportions as is the case of "Brass Tooth". "

I wish this guy would go away. What is this? An easter Egg. How is this Important. I can see it's relevance as Art for conversation's sake, but not it's importance nor it's value as an historical object which I am sure it will be. Is it the vast bank account or an entitled position that qualifies one to fool the public into believing that anything Jeff Koons has to say's is Art and is actually worth Millions of Dollars. It only leads the way for many young aspiring artist's swimming in a large pool of greedy over-achiever's to see that the only way to the center of the Art Universe is through Lies and Manipulation. Not to mention poor taste.

Controversial New York artist Dash Snow has died of a drug overdose at age 27.
Born into a life of wealth and extravagance, Snow famously rebelled through his art consistently portraying hardcore pornographic scenes and sensational drug use.
He had a major breakthrough in 2006 when Charles Saatchi exhibited his torn phone book piece entitled F--- the Police.

"Snow was far from an art-world outsider. His grandmother is the philanthropist and art collector Christophe de Menil, whose mother Dominique de Menil was heiress to the Schlumberger oil fortune and a major art collector. His mother, Taya Thurman, is Hollywood actress Uma Thurman's half sister. She recently gained attention for charging the highest rent on record at the Hamptons: $750,000 for a single summer season."
